Archive Recording of “The Art & Technique of Collage Portraiture” Video Workshop

Learn the art and technique of making magnificent and powerful digital collage portraits of people, places or events, using Corel Painter 2015 software on Mac or PC and a Wacom pen tablet. The training, which is an archive recording of instruction prepared for a live online workshop in 2014, includes thorough, step-by-step, detailed, practical instruction and take you through the whole process I use in my real life collage projects, from inspiration and source image acquisition and organization, through to image completion, production and display.

These recordings of the online class, “Painting with Design in Mind”, include art & technique lessons, homework assignments, demonstrations and discussions. This class focused on mastering, and being creative with, the varied and powerful art media, tools and techniques of Corel Painter 2015, including creating your own brushes with custom brush dabs, creating custom paper textures, working with different types of layers, using impasto brush strokes and effects, and working with layer composite methods and layer masks, all while keeping the overall design considerations of your artwork in mind.
